Frequently Asked Questions
Will you be open in the rain?
We will be open rain or shine, just keep in mind that the trails are dirt, and it can get muddy! Also, if raining you may want to bring an umbrella along as we don’t have any covered areas. We will have to close the field if it gets too muddy.
Footwear?
Since all trails are dirt, uneven, and there are thistles and weeds in the field, we recommend closed-toed, stable shoes and if muddy, rainboots.
What about the bees?
Our sunflower field is a bee habitat and therefore you will encounter bees when you come visit the sunflowers, so we ask that you stick to the trails we have made. This not only keeps our flowers nice but also reduces the chance of bee stings.
Are there bathrooms?
We will have portapotties available for public use.
Food and Drinks?
We will have water and some drinks available to purchase, we will publish to our Instagram and Facebook if we have vendors selling food.
How do we get there?
Head North out of Fort St John on Rose Prairie Road. Follow road for approx.17 mins. Location is on the left hand side of the road at the top of the hill just past the North Peace Fall Fair Grounds.
Smoking?
Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. Not being in the Fort St. John fire zone, the fire department will not come out to our farm and any fire could be detrimental to our farm as there is lots of dry grass.
Can we bring our dogs?
We do allow dogs but they must be on leashes and we ask that you pick up after them to keep our grounds nice for everyone.
